This is the Supra you've been waiting for!
As the first new Supra in 21 years, Toyota has worked hard to make the new Supra more than just a performance sports car. Toyota has meticulously sculpted a vehicle that is a work of art. The cool, sleek design is like nothing Toyota has offered before. Even the design of the front grille lends to the vehicle's performance, channeling cool air to its engine to optimize performance. The body design not only looks beautiful but has been sculpted to reduce aerodynamic drag. Its 50:50 weight distribution creates a stronger center of gravity. A rear spoiler works to reduce body lift to help the Supra retain speed. Inside you can expect the same attention to detail with the BMW-sourced interior.
Available in a 3.0 base trim, a 3.0 Premium trim, and a Launch-Edition you'll have a few different options in terms of upgrades. Standard features include keyless entry, dual-zone automatic climate control, a rear camera, power-folding mirrors, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, an HD color display instrument panel, and a 6.5-inch infotainment system. With the Premium trim, you'll get an upgraded 8.8-inch touchscreen, smartphone integration, and a premium audio system just to name a few. Safety features that come standard include automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and forward collision warning. Available safety features include adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert.
Of course, the question on everyone's mind is: how well does the new Supra perform? From the sound of it, drivers shouldn't be too disappointed. The 2020 Toyota Supra will feature a turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine that generates 335 horsepower and 365 lb-ft of torque. The eight-speed automatic transmission provides smooth, quick shifting. With all this, drivers can expect lightning-fast acceleration, allowing you to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.1 seconds and achieve a top speed of 155 mph. Drivers will also be able to choose from two different driving modes: normal and sport mode. While the normal mode improves traction and stability, sport mode gives you more uninhibited performance for a more aggressive driving style. The 2020 Toyota Supra will start at around $50K. Check it out at your local Toyota dealer once it releases this summer.
