The 2019 BMW M3 Concept

The 2019 BMW M3 Concept

The next-generation BMW M3 is gearing up to be one of the most exciting performance cars in years. Having just released their seventh-generation 3-Series sedans, it's clear the M3 should finally be revealed in the coming months. With a leaner but more muscular design, the new M3 promises outstanding performance inside and out. While their popular 3-series certainly delivers in terms of practicality, the fun-factor of the M3 is on a whole other level. The 2019 BMW M3 concept is showing a potentially huge upgrade in power and design over its predecessors. If you are craving a powerful sedan with street-legal performance levels, the new M3 may be the sedan for you. Even looking from the outside, the difference from the standard 3-Series models should be clear. Expect to see rear spoilers, diffusers, a bulging hood, larger tires, flared fenders and other typical performance vehicle traits. Additionally, you can expect unique exterior color options and new trims. The chassis has been designed to perform better on the track, so it looks a lot sharper to improve aerodynamics. The specially designed instrument cluster will be in-line with BMW's other racing vehicles as well. But don't worry if you love the 3-Series, because the basic sedan look is still present despite these differences.

Of course, when it comes to a performance vehicle, it's what under the hood that really matters. And when it comes to the M3's performance, it should not disappoint. The new M3 concept features a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged six-cylinder engine that generates 425 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque. With a competition package equipped, you can elevate that to around 450 horsepower. Paired with that is a six-speed manual transmission or an optional seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. When fully equipped, the M3 is said to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.0 seconds. It's also worth noting that RWD will likely be standard but that XDrive will be an option so you can switch power to the front wheels as well. Experts that have tested the M3 say that the vehicle delivers a smooth ride, even on curvy roads.

It's also worth mentioning that the interior is expertly designed with luxury in mind, just as you would hope for in a BMW. The infotainment system is easily accessible to drivers, making it safer to fiddle with while driving. The iDrive infotainment system is paired with a premium Harman Kardon audio system. Carbon fiber trim and sports seats are included in the interior, but you can also opt for metal or wood. Safety features to be offered include automatic emergency braking, automatic headlamps and lane departure warning. Check out the new BMW M3 when it's revealed in the coming months at your local BMW dealership. This is the BMW you've been waiting for.
